I am responsible for radiation health and safety at Keio University`s Shinanomachi Campus. Our research is primarily interested in developing ways to safely concentrate and dispose of radioisotopes. In addition, we are interested in developing biosensors using isotopic marking and aptamer technology for age related disease diagnostics and food monitoring. Another aspect of our research focuses on the identification of useful functional components from nature and ways to develop these for synthetic applications.

We investigate the properties of algebraic varieties over number-theoretic fields. We study the correlation between the Galois representation defined by etale cohomology and geometric properties. We study also the properties of representations of various groups obtained from etale cohomology.

(2) We are studying the factors that promote the permeation of insulin through the intestinal wall, with the aim of developing oral insulin.

We focus on noise removal and data cleansing / feature extraction for datasets, construction of mathematical models, construction of automatic generation algorithms for optimal machine learning methods, and quantification of qualitative words such as emotions and pain.
